1. Read the Rules

Before you start playing, make sure to read the Server Rules. Following these rules ensures everyone has a great experience!

2. Choose Your Starter

When you first join, you'll be able to choose your starter Pokemon. Choose wisely - this will be your first companion on your journey!

Starter Options:

  • Grass Type: Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Treecko, Turtwig, Snivy, Chespin, Rowlet, Grookey, Sprigatito

  • Fire Type: Charmander, Cyndaquil, Torchic, Chimchar, Tepig, Fennekin, Litten, Scorbunny, Fuecoco

  • Water Type: Squirtle, Totodile, Mudkip, Piplup, Oshawott, Froakie, Popplio, Sobble, Quaxly

3. Explore the Spawn Area

Take some time to explore spawn! You'll find:

  • Important information boards

  • Shops and NPCs

  • Warp portals to different areas

  • Other players to meet

🏠 Finding Your Home

Claiming Land

One of the first things you should do is find a place to build your base and claim it!

  1. Explore the world to find a nice location (remember: 150 blocks minimum from other claims)

  2. Use /claim or a golden shovel to claim your land

  3. Your claim protects your builds and chests from other players

Building Your Base

Once you've claimed land, you can start building:

  • Craft a bed to set your spawn point

  • Build storage for your items

  • Create a Pokemon healing station

  • Set up breeding areas for later

⚔️ Catching Pokemon

Finding Pokemon

Pokemon spawn naturally in the world based on:

  • Biome - Water Pokemon near water, Fire Pokemon in hot biomes, etc.

  • Time of Day - Some Pokemon only spawn at night or day

  • Weather - Certain Pokemon prefer rain or clear weather

Use /checkspawns to see what Pokemon can spawn in your current area!

Battle Mechanics

  • Click on a wild Pokemon to start a battle

  • Use your Pokemon's moves strategically

  • Weaken the Pokemon before throwing a Pokeball

  • Different Pokeballs have different catch rates

Pokeball Types

  • Poke Ball - Basic ball, works for most common Pokemon

  • Great Ball - Better catch rate than Poke Ball

  • Ultra Ball - Even better catch rate, good for rare Pokemon

  • Master Ball - Guaranteed catch (very rare!)

  • Specialty Balls - Dusk Ball (night), Net Ball (water/bug), etc.

Money is essential on PokeKingdoms! Here's how to earn it:

Use /shop to sell items like:

  • Ores and minerals

  • Pokemon drops

  • Crafted items

  • Excess materials

  • List Pokemon on /sts for other players to buy

  • Price competitively to make sales!

  • Complete hunt challenges for rewards
