# Area Zero

Area Zero is a mysterious underground zone that opens at scheduled times throughout the week. When the rift opens, a massive hole appears at the Area Zero warp — jump in to explore a vast cavern filled with rare **Paradox Pokemon** and other powerful species. But don't take too long — the zone closes **30 minutes** after opening!

***

## 🚪 How to Enter

1. **Travel to the hole** — warp to the Area Zero entrance
2. **Wait for the rift to open** — the hole only activates at scheduled times announced in Discord and in-game chat
3. **Jump in!** — when the rift is open, jump into the hole to be transported into Area Zero

{% hint style="warning" %}
If you jump into the hole while it is **not open**, you'll simply be teleported back to spawn. Only jump in during an active opening!
{% endhint %}

## ⏱️ Timed Event

Area Zero operates on a strict schedule:

| Detail       | Info                                               |
| ------------ | -------------------------------------------------- |
| **Duration** | 30 minutes per opening                             |
| **Schedule** | Announced in Discord and in-game                   |
| **Entry** | Jump into the hole during an active opening |
| **Closure** | All players are teleported out when the timer ends |

{% hint style="info" %}
Keep an eye on Discord announcements and in-game alerts so you don't miss an opening! Area Zero does not open on a set recurring schedule — times may vary.

## 🦕 Paradox Pokemon

The main attraction of Area Zero is the **Paradox Pokemon** — ancient and future variants that cannot be found anywhere else on the server. These are some of the rarest and most powerful Pokemon available.

Paradox Pokemon are split into two categories:

### Ancient Paradox Pokemon (Past Forms)

| Pokemon      | Original Counterpart |
| ------------ | -------------------- |
| Great Tusk   | Donphan              |
| Scream Tail  | Jigglypuff           |
| Brute Bonnet | Amoonguss            |
| Flutter Mane | Misdreavus           |
| Slither Wing | Volcarona            |
| Sandy Shocks | Magneton             |
| Roaring Moon | Salamence            |

### Future Paradox Pokemon (Future Forms)

| Pokemon      | Original Counterpart |
| ------------ | -------------------- |
| Iron Treads  | Donphan              |
| Iron Bundle  | Delibird             |
| Iron Hands   | Hariyama             |
| Iron Jugulis | Hydreigon            |
| Iron Moth    | Volcarona            |
| Iron Thorns  | Tyranitar            |
| Iron Valiant | Gardevoir / Gallade  |

{% hint style="success" %}
Paradox Pokemon are **exclusive** to Area Zero — this is the only place you can catch them! Bring your best Pokeballs.

## 💎 Tera Fragments

Scattered throughout Area Zero you'll find **Tera Fragments** — glowing crystal formations that you can mine and collect. These raw fragments are the key ingredient for crafting **Tera Orbs** and **Tera Shards** at **Terastallization Tessa's** shop.

* **Mine fragments** as you explore the zone — they're scattered everywhere
* **Bring them to Tessa** at the **Daycare warp**
* Trade **15 fragments** to receive **15 Tera Shards** of your chosen type
* Or trade **20 fragments** for a **Tera Orb**

| Craft           | Cost         | You Receive    |
| --------------- | ------------ | -------------- |
| **Tera Orb**    | 20 Fragments | 1 Tera Orb     |
| **Tera Shards** | 15 Fragments | 15 Tera Shards |

## 🗺️ Exploring the Zone

Area Zero is a wide, open zone with plenty to discover:

* **Paradox Pokemon** spawn throughout the cavern — both ancient and future forms
* **Other rare Pokemon** also appear alongside the Paradox species
* **Tera Crystals** are scattered across the zone, ready to be mined
* The zone is large enough to explore freely, but keep track of time — you only have **30 minutes**

## 💡 Tips for Success

1. **Arrive early** — warp to the hole before it opens so you can jump in immediately
2. **Bring strong Pokemon** — Paradox Pokemon are tough to catch and battle
3. **Stock up on Pokeballs** — Ultra Balls, Timer Balls, and Dusk Balls work well down here
4. **Mine every crystal you see** — Tera Crystals are valuable and you can't get them elsewhere
5. **Watch the timer** — when the 30 minutes are up, you're teleported out regardless of what you're doing
6. **Check Discord** — opening times are announced there so you can plan ahead
